  15. <p>     DIED. Anne Revere, 87, winner of the 1945 Academy Award for
  16. Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor's
  17. mother in National Velvet; in Locust Valley, N.Y. Revere, who
  18. appeared in 40 films, was blacklisted by studio bosses after
  19. refusing to testify before the House Un-American Activities
  20. Committee in 1951 about her alleged Communist affiliations. In
  21. 1960 she scored a Broadway triumph with her Tony-winning work
  22. in Lillian Hellman's Toys in the Attic.
